Strasbourg have signed Chelsea striker David Datro Fofana (23) on loan, both clubs have announced. The Ivory Coast international is the latest player to make the switch between the two BlueCo-owned clubs. Fofana was previously loaned out to Türkish side Karagümrük this campaign so far, before being recalled by the Blues.
Fofana has now joined Gary O’Neil’s Alsatians to provide cover up front for Strasbourg following Chelsea-bound Emanuel Emegha’s injury. Fofana has joined Aaron Anselmino in making a deadline switch from Chelsea to Strasbourg. It remains to be seen whether or not Fofana will be ready for Thursday’s Coupe de France clash against AS Monaco.
