FIFPro, the global union for professional football players, has unveiled the 2025 FIFPro Men’s World XI and Real Madrid have two representatives in the lineup.

The FIFPro World XI has been in practice since 2009, with the organisation inviting all professional footballers, men and women, to compose the best men’s and women’s teams of the year.

An initial 26-player nominee list was unveiled last week following which the World XI has now been announced, comprising a goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders, and three forwards.

The final slot is granted to the outfield player with the next most number of votes irrespective of the position.

And, two Real Madrid stars have made the cut for the 2025 FIFPro World XI – midfielder Jude Bellingham and forward Kylian Mbappe.

Real Madrid had three more nominees in the running, in the form of Thibaut Courtois, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Federico Valverde, but they did not make the final XI.

Meanwhile, Manchester City’s Gianluigi Donnarumma has been voted as the goalkeeper for the FIFPro World XI.

Barcelona’s Pedri, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, and PSG ace Vitinha complete the midfield alongside Bellingham.

As for the attack, PSG superstar and Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele, and Ballon d’Or runner-up, Lamine Yamal of Barcelona, are paired with Mbappe.

Mbappe has enjoyed a successful year with Real Madrid, winning a couple of trophies in his debut season, while also bagging the European Golden Boot.

Bellingham, meanwhile, did not have the same success as his debut season, but was a hugely influential presence for Real Madrid on the pitch, earning him enough votes to make it to the FIFPro World XI once again.
