FC Bayern Munich will welcome some new faces to the club in the new season. Transfers are to be made, but there will also be changes all around. One such change has now been officially confirmed

What had been hinted at for some time has now been confirmed: Dante, the 2013 treble winner, is returning to FC Bayern shortly after ending his career at OGC Nice. His team managed to avoid relegation in the relegation play-offs, but then it was over

„First of all, I would like to thank Holger Seitz for his great services to our second team. Over the past few months, we have had many discussions at the level of the sporting management about what the future expectations are for our oldest training team,“ explained Jochen Sauer, Director of Youth Development at FC Bayern

He continued: „We then came to the joint decision that we wanted to work with a young coach who had played professionally at a high level himself. As a player, Dante has experienced almost everything you can experience in soccer and, even at the age of 42, was still a role model for his teammates in terms of attitude and professionalism.“

The former Bayern defender also had his say: „I’m incredibly excited about this role at my former club FC Bayern and would like to thank those responsible for the trust they have placed in me.“

„Many good talents are being trained at the Campus, who have to assert themselves in men’s soccer for the first time with the amateurs. My coaching team and I want to accompany them in this important step in the best possible way and try to bring them closer to their goal of professional soccer. I am looking forward to working with the players, all employees and those responsible,“ explained the Brazilian.
