OGC Nice captain Dante (41) has been ruled out of OGC Nice’s meeting against Paris Saint-Germain on Friday night with a knee issue, AFP understands.

Dante also missed last Sunday’s match against SCO Angers. The Brazilian sustained the injury to his right knee during Saturday’s training session. Tests taken earlier this week showed that he would not be able to feature against PSG either. Dante has had previous with his right knee having suffered an ACL back in 2020 and then a meniscus injury at the start of December 2024.

Franck Haise had already voiced scepticism regarding his captain’s availability for the match against Les Parisiens with the Nice manager saying that the defender would not be able to train at normal intensity this week. No surgery is expected and Dante is expected to play again before the end of the campaign. A return against Stade de Reims on 2nd May is a possibility. Alternatively, he could be operation for the trip to Stade Rennais a week later.
