Lyon beat Le Havre 1-0. According to L'Équipe, Afonso Moreira was their chief menace.

The hosts nearly led inside two minutes when Martin Satriano headed Corentin Tolisso’s chipped pass against the bar. Tyler Morton then pulled Lloris’s shirt and was booked, and Issa Soumaré saw his 38th-minute penalty saved by Dominik Greif, with the rebound blazed over.

Moreira’s drive told after the break, his precise pass finding Sulc for the winner in the 52nd minute. Relentless down the left, he added pace and aggression to Lyon’s attacks and has become a credible alternative during Malick Fofana’s prolonged absence.

Greif later denied Mbwana Samatta at close range in the 68th minute, moments after a misjudged defensive header from Clinton Mata had invited danger. At the other end, Mory Diaw kept Le Havre competitive with clean handling from crosses and set plays, accurate kicking and few errors.

Loïc Nego endured a torrid afternoon against Moreira and was replaced by F. Doucouré in the 63rd minute. Satriano’s industry could not mask his lack of impact and he made way for Karabec on 73 minutes. Morton faded after the interval as Merah assumed more of the organisation.
