Crystal Palace head coach Oliver Glasner has dismissed speculation surrounding his future, insisting he has not been offered, let alone rejected, a new contract at Selhurst Park.

Reports circulated earlier this week suggesting the Austrian had turned down an extension, with his current deal due to expire at the end of the season. However, Glasner moved quickly to quash the rumours, describing them as “really fake news.”

There are so many rumours and factors,” Glasner told reporters on Friday. “We didn’t talk about a contract, I haven’t been offered a contract so I therefore cannot reject a contract offer. That is the situation.”

According to Sky Sports, Palace are expected to step up discussions with Glasner during the upcoming international break, with the club keen to secure the 50-year-old’s long-term future after his remarkable impact since arriving in February.

Glasner, who guided Palace to FA Cup glory last season and has since overseen an 19-game unbeaten run, stressed that his focus remains solely on performances on the pitch. “We are so focused on performing, and there are no talks at the moment about my contract situation,” he added.
