Luis Campos has consolidated his influence at Paris Saint-Germain since 2022 with a small inner circle. Three figures work most actively in his shadow, Olivier Gagne, Juan Carlos Calero and Florian Fieschi.
According to L'Équipe, the arrival of Luis Enrique in 2023 strengthened the 61-year-old’s hand, as the Qatar Sports Investments adviser leans on trusted lieutenants. Pasquale Sensibile left for Eupen, recently bought by QSI, and external recruiters also assist.
Gagne, deputy director of professional football, is Campos’s closest aide. After coordinating sport at Lille, he joined PSG in July 2022 and acts as the link between football and other departments, including the academy, agents and the Collectif Ultras Paris.
Inside PSG he attracts mixed reviews, with some praising his loyalty and competence and others finding his approach overly aggressive or showy at the Campus.
Calero arrived just before summer 2024 from Celta Vigo and quietly maps the academy. He tracks every youth match for Campos, has been linked to Noah Nsoki’s promotion, oversaw last summer’s loft, and previously worked at Albacete and with Andrés Iniesta in Japan.
Fieschi, a friend from Monaco days when he covered the club for Le Parisien, later served as Lille press officer and led communications at the Girondins de Bordeaux and Paris Basket. Kept peripheral, he has acted as a media conduit, was suspected of leaks, stepped back last summer and recently verified Campos’s X account to reporters. His clients include Crystal Palace defender Maxence Lacroix and Josuha Guilavogui, capped seven times.
