Dozens of OM supporters staged a show of force in Bruges on Tuesday night ahead of the Champions League match. According to L'Équipe, around 1,500 are expected in the away end at Jan-Breydel Stadium on Wednesday and they have been barred from the city centre that day.

Just after 22:00, in a deserted city centre, a group dressed in black broke the quiet.

Chants for the club rang out as firecrackers went off and flares were lit, with a few police vehicles nearby.

Was it a response to opposition provocations before the match?

The restriction applies to the centre and outskirts of Bruges because of the risk of confrontations with Bruges ultras and hooligans.
