Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta seems relaxed about Bukayo Saka’s future at the Emirates Stadium, saying he’s sure the club are “on top of it”.
The Gunners will no doubt be keen to tie Saka down to a new deal as soon as possible, with the England international proving to be one of their most important players in recent years.
Having risen up through Arsenal’s academy, Saka is now a world class talent and one of the first names on Arteta’s team sheet.
It’s not too surprising, therefore, that there have been some questions about Saka’s future, with Arteta having this to say in his latest press conference…

“When the time comes and we have those conversations – I’m sure the club is very on top of it,” Arteta said.
“I think Bukayo has been very clear what his intentions are as well, so I think everything is in the right place.”
Saka scored a fine goal for Arsenal in their recent 2-1 win at the Bernabeu, capping a strong performance for the north London giants over both legs of their Champions League quarter-final.
In fact, it seems the 23-year-old was so impressive that Real Madrid are now said to be keen on signing him themselves!

A surprise report from Todo Fichajes recently claimed that Los Blancos chiefs were preparing to try their luck with a bid of €120m for Saka.
There’s little doubt that Saka is good enough to fit in well in this Madrid side, but it’s also hard to imagine Arsenal being willing to sell for basically any price.
Saka is a hugely popular player at Arsenal and a new contract for him will surely be the club’s priority.
Still, if AFC don’t win a major trophy like the Premier League or the Champions League in the next two or three years, it might be that players like Saka will start asking questions about this project.
