Jeremie Frimpong's form could help unleash the Real Mohamed Salah

When the transfer of Jeremie Frimpong was announced in the summer, fans were ecstatic that they were getting a like-for-like player into their first-team squad for Trent Alexander-Arnold.

One of the main questions about Liverpool's transfer business was whether they could band together and replace the Englishman's creativity.

It may have taken its time, but, now that all of Slot's men have played alongside one another for a while, they're all putting their best foot forward and are ensuring that chances are created.

As with many of the Reds' new signings, it took Frimpong a while to get adjusted but, now that he's had a decent run of games, he seems to finally be coming into his own.

And, with this in mind, it's hard to see how, upon Salah's return, the two right-sided players won't be able to form a dynamic duo.

Since Salah is often seen as Liverpool's main talisman, a lot of their goals end up falling towards the path of the attacker.

And, although his attacking prowess is second to none, there have been points throughout the 2025-26 season when fans have questioned why he's not tracking back.

However, if Frimpong continues to run up and down the right-wing for the entirety of the game as he has done over the last few weeks, it's unlikely that many problems will emerge between the two.

In fact, seeing as though the Dutchman is likely to push up the wing, it could force Salah into a more central position where his finishing can shine.

This would make complete sense and would allow players such as Hugo Ekitike to thrive due to the extra bodies and options up front.

Of course, these are all ifs, buts and maybes at the moment but, if the Reds' 12-game unbeaten run is anything to go by, the Anfield outfit could be in for a rather impressive end to their season.

And, if the "ruthless" version of Salah emerges once again, that'll just be an added bonus.
