Abdul Fatawu struck in the 28th minute with a low finish from the right, as Leicester City beat Bristol City 2-0.
Receiving Bobby Decordova-Reid's pass on the flank, Fatawu drove into a tight angle and drilled into the bottom right corner, tightening the Foxes' grip over City.
After the restart he slipped Patson Daka in for a left-footed effort that Radek Vítek saved (70.). Moments later, he sent a rising shot over from distance (72.).
He finished with four attempts, one on target, four chances created and nine possession wins, numbers that underlined his role as Leicester's outlet on transitions and their primary creator.
Working wide on the right, his direct running drew four fouls and repeatedly forced The Robins' back line to retreat, giving the Foxes territory and tempo whenever pressure built.
The Foxes rise from 22nd to 21st in the Championship and host Queens Park Rangers next. City visit Middlesbrough.
