According to the report, the 17-year-old is expected to miss several months following the operation, with initial estimates suggesting a break of three to four months

This is a bitter setback for the young attacker, as he had already shown himself step by step with the professionals this season

Mike has already collected Bundesliga minutes

The two-footed left winger has already made four appearances for FC Bayern’s first team in the current Bundesliga season, playing a total of 27 minutes – each time as a substitute

Mike made his debut on September 26, 2025 in the 4-0 home win against Werder Bremen, coming on for Luis Diaz in the 84th minute shortly after his 17th birthday

In doing so, the youngster even wrote a little piece of club history: he became FC Bayern’s second-youngest Bundesliga debutant – only Paul Wanner was younger when he made his first appearance

The talented youngster has also already gained international experience: Mike played around ten minutes in the league phase against Club Brugge in the Champions League

Several players are currently out through injury, including Manuel Neuer, Alphonso Davies, Hiroki Ito and Jonas Urbig, and coach Vincent Kompany has recently had to rely more heavily on young players from the campus

The forced break has come at an inopportune time for Mike. The 17-year-old was regarded internally as one of the most exciting attacking talents on the Bayern campus and had just started to show himself with the professionals.
