Manchester City faced off against Arsenal at Wembley Stadium earlier this evening as they hoped to secure a good result in the EFL Cup final. The Mancunian club made a solid start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.

Nico O’Reilly scored the opener in the 60th minute before going on to score again just four minutes later. The match ended with Pep Guardiola’s side earning an impressive 2-0 win at Wembley.

Let’s take a look at how each Manchester City player fared during the clash against the Gunners.

He made a few solid saves at the back and did enough to keep a clean sheet.

RB: Matheus Nunes – 8/10

Nunes performed his defensive duties well and managed to secure an assist.

CB: Abdukodir Khusanov – 7/10

He gave a good account of himself defensively and would be quite pleased with the clean sheet.

CB: Nathan Ake – 7/10

Ake cleared the danger when he could and was a good presence on the ball.

LB: Nico O’Reilly – 9/10

He was a positive influence at both ends of the field and scored a quick-fire brace in the second half to help his team win the cup.

CDM: Rodri – 7/10

Rodi earned possession back twice and was tidy with his passing.

RM: Antoine Semenyo – 7/10

He worked hard at both ends of the field but struggled to threaten the Arsenal goal.

CM: Rayan Cherki – 7/10

Cherki was a constant menace in the final third and kept possession well in tight spaces.

CM: Bernardo Silva – 7/10

He made a few positive runs with the ball, but there was no goal for him.

CM: Jeremy Doku – 8/10

Doku made a lot of dangerous runs with the ball but failed to get his name on the scoresheet this evening.

The Norway international was a real handful on the offensive end of the pitch, but never looked like he would find the back of the net.
