Orlando Pirates have made it back-to-back wins in the Betway Premiership after a 1-0 victory over newly promoted Orbit College at Orlando Stadium on Tuesday.

Lebone Seema, who joined the Buccaneers from TS Galaxy during the off-season, scored the only goal of the match with a long-range strike. The win saw Abdeslam Ouaddou’s men ascend to seventh place, with six points accumulated after four league outings.

Elsewhere, Stellenbosch FC claimed their first victory of the new season with a slender 1-0 win against Marumo Gallants at the Danie Craven Stadium, thanks to a solitary goal from highly rated youngster Langelihle Phili.

The Cape Winelands outfit moved up to 11th-place as they look to put themselves in a familiar residence in the top half of the table, having failed to win in their opening three matches for the first time in two seasons.

Meanwhile, Richards Bay also secured their first win of the season at the expense of troubled Chippa United, who are reportedly set to part ways with head coach Sinethemba Badela, just under a month of their working relationship.

The Chilli Boys are winless in their last three league outings, and they find themselves at the bottom of the log standings. Moreover, Chippa are yet to win a match in the current season as they drew with Mamelodi Sundowns in the first game.

In Mbombela, TS Galaxy made it two wins on the trot, overcoming newly branded Siwelele FC 2-0, thanks to a brace from Seluleko Mahlambi. On the other hand, Siwelele are on a three-game winless run.

In the other Betway Premiership encounter of the evening, Polokwane City and Durban City settled for a share of the spoils after playing out to a goalless draw at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. Rise and Shine are in ninth place, while the newly promoted KZN outfit is in third place.
