Oscar Bobb is taking the right approach with his return from injury | OneFootball

Manchester City fans are waiting for Oscar Bobb to return from the fractured leg he suffered on the eve of the 24/25 season. The young Norwegian international is one of City’s most promising young players. He had appeared set for a breakout season before he went down with a serious injury on the eve of the current season. Oscar Bobb has returned to training as he builds up his fitness and form ahead of his return to the pitch.

But in an interview with the official Manchester City magazine, Oscar Bobb has said that he will return to the pitch when he is 100% right. Speaking on his return Bobb said: “My focus is that I have to be right first, no matter how much I want to play and help my team-mates. I need to make sure I’m right and ready so I can come back, and my main objective is to be able to play a part and to do that I need be physically ready to go because if I’m feeling good, I know I can help.”

Pep Guardiola did tell the media before his team’s 3-1 win over Club Brugge that Oscar Bobb was closing in on a return to the pitch. But he didn’t make Manchester City’s squad for the crucial Champions League match. It does appear that Bobb just isn’t quite ready to return to the pitch yet but his return does appear to be close.

But Bobb’s attitude is the right one to take given the serious nature of the injury he suffered. There is nothing to be gained from coming back before he is ready. When the time is right he will be back on the pitch and that’s the best thing for him and for Manchester City.
