Ousmane Dembélé and Lucas Chevalier ruled out of PSG’s Champions League trip | OneFootball

Ousmane Dembélé has only just made his return from injury, but in what has been a stop-start beginning to the season for the Ballon d’Or winner, he once again finds himself sidelined. 

It was reported by Le Parisien on Monday that Dembélé was a doubt to face Athletic Club on Wednesday night. The France international has been ill and so missed the Monday session. RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins now reports that Dembélé is not in the PSG squad to face Athletic Club in the UEFA Champions League. 

Doué returns for PSG

There is also the absence of Lucas Chevalier to contend with. The Frenchman was injured during the 1-0 loss to AS Monaco. Matvey Safonov filled in against Stade Rennais, and he will have to do so again in the UCL, with Chevalier, like Dembélé, missing out on the matchday squad.

There is, however, good news for Luis Enrique in the form of the return of Désiré Doué.
