Ousmane Dembélé awarded Ligue 1 Goal of the Season after LFP adjusts votes | OneFootball

Ousmane Dembélé has been awarded Ligue 1 Goal of the Season for 2025-2026 for his lob in Paris Saint-Germain's 3-0 win over Lille on 16 January. The decision followed a review of the public vote.

L'Équipe reports that the league reduced Mousa al-Tamari's tally after numerous bot votes were detected, then confirmed Dembélé as winner on its official site. He finished ahead of al-Tamari, Matthieu Udol of Lens, Joao Neves of PSG and Arthur Avom of Lorient.

Before the correction, Dembélé had only 2,237 votes compared with al-Tamari's 135,048. The Rennes winger's volley came in a 4-2 defeat against Lyon on 3 May, drawing heavy backing from Jordan, where he is a star.

Dembélé, the 2025 Ballon d'Or, is in France's squad for the 2026 World Cup, which runs from 11 June to 19 July.

The Lille strike had already been named Goal of the Season at the UNFP awards, where the Vernon-born forward also collected the Ligue 1 Player of the Year prize for 2025-2026.
