Strand Larsen is viewed as a potential replacement for the Frenchman, reportsBen Jacobs, with Wolves valuing the forward at around £40m. Wolves are willing to sell Strand Larsen this month to help fund a rebuild under Rob Edwards.

Crystal Palace sporting director Matt Hobbs is a long-term admirer of Strand-Larsen, having been behind the deal that brought the 25-year-old to England, when he previously held the sporting director at Wolves.

Strand Larsen scored 14 goals in thePremier League last season but has struggled to replicate that form this season, amid fitness issues.

He's scored six times in 23 games across all competitions, but just one of those goals have come in thePremier League. Wolves are bottom of the Premier League table and 14 points from safety.

Palace can expect to have rivals in the race to sign Strand Larsen.Nottingham Forest and Leeds United enquired into his availability earlier this month, while West Ham were linked prior to deals for Taty Castellanos and Pablo Felipe.

Wolves rejected multiple bids from Newcastle United for Strand Larsen in the summer, the highest of which was around £55m.

Rob Edwards' side are facing interest in several stars this month as the threat of relegation looms over the club.

Joao Gomes is attracting interest from Atletico Madrid and Manchester United, while Besitkas are preparing an offer for centre-back Emmanuel Agbadou.Wolves
