Palmeiras are closing in on their second 2026 signing, with Jhon Arias the subject of advanced talks as final contractual points are addressed.

According to Nosso Palestra, the club are working through the last details so the Colombian midfielder can sign a four-year deal.

Palmeiras will pay 25 million euros, about R$ 154.8 million, to Wolverhampton after Fluminense did not match the offer linked to a contractual purchase preference.

Arias has long been a Verdão target dating back to his Fluminense spell, but president Mário Bittencourt declined to enter talks at the time.
