Palmeiras close to announcing Jhon Arias after aligning terms with Wolverhampton | OneFootball

Palmeiras are closing in on their second 2026 signing, with Jhon Arias the subject of advanced talks as final contractual points are addressed.

According to Nosso Palestra, the club are working through the last details so the Colombian midfielder can sign a four-year deal.

Palmeiras will pay 25 million euros, about R$ 154.8 million, to Wolverhampton after Fluminense did not match the offer linked to a contractual purchase preference.

The expectation is for closure in the coming hours so the announcement can follow and travel to Brazil be arranged.

Arias has long been a Verdão target dating back to his Fluminense spell, but president Mário Bittencourt declined to enter talks at the time.

Wolverhampton sit bottom of the Premier League with eight points from 24 matches. Arias has featured 29 times for the club, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
