Palmeiras returned to training on Monday morning at the Football Academy ahead of their Copa do Brasil tie with Jacuipense. They hold a 3-0 first-leg lead.
The club said in a statement that midfielder Andreas Pereira sustained a lower-back trauma, with a fracture ruled out, after a knee from Remo's Zé Ricardo that resulted in a red card on Sunday.

Left-back Arthur has begun on-pitch transition work with the Health and Performance unit.
Piquerez continued his rehabilitation with physiotherapy.
The second leg is scheduled for 13/05 at 21:30, Brasília time.
