Palmeiras lead the Brasileirão after round 12, as Santos slipped to 15th on 13 points following a 3-2 defeat to Fluminense at Vila Belmiro.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the 12th round concluded on Sunday night. Palmeiras moved to 29 points with a 1-0 win over Athletico-PR. Flamengo are second on 23 after a 2-0 win over Bahia, the same total as third-placed Fluminense. São Paulo are fourth with 20 after a 2-1 loss to Vasco.

The relegation zone begins with Corinthians in 17th on 12 after a 0-0 draw at Vitória. Mirassol are 18th with nine after beating Internacional 1-0. Remo sit 19th on eight after a 4-2 loss to Red Bull Bragantino, the same points as bottom club Chapecoense, who were beaten 4-1 by Botafogo.

Round 12 produced 29 goals, an average of two point nine per match. There were six home wins, three away victories and one draw.

Elsewhere, Cruzeiro beat Grêmio 2-0 and Coritiba overcame Atlético-MG 2-0.
