Palmeiras learn possible Libertadores last-16 opponents as draw set for Friday | OneFootball

Palmeiras now know the eight teams they could face in the Libertadores last 16, with the draw set for Friday at 12:00 by Conmebol.

As reported by Nosso Palestra, the victory over Junior Barranquilla on Thursday sealed progression but only as Group F runners-up, with Cerro Porteño finishing top.

The draw is open, with no country or previous-meetings restrictions. Group winners in Pot 1 will be paired with runners-up in Pot 2, which includes Palmeiras.

Palmeiras’ potential opponents are Flamengo, Coquimbo Unido, Independiente Rivadavia, Corinthians, Cerro Porteño, LDU, Independiente del Valle and Universidad Católica.

Teams that advanced in first place will have home advantage in the second leg. The competition will pause for about two months due to the 2026 World Cup.

Round of 16 first legs are scheduled for 11-13 August, with the return games on 18-20 August.
