Abel Ferreira’s Palmeiras re-established an eight-point lead at the top of the Brasileirão 2026 after a 4-0 win over Vitória at Barradão in Salvador and Flamengo’s 1-1 draw away to Internacional. Coluna Do Fla notes this equals their biggest advantage of the campaign.

At Beira-Rio, Flamengo drew 1-1 with Internacional, Vitinho put the hosts ahead before Samuel Lino equalised after the break. In Salvador, Palmeiras beat Vitória 4-0 in a match marked by first-half dismissals for Luan Cândido and Cacá, with Maurício, a Fabiano own goal, Jhon Arias and Ramón Sosa on the scoresheet.

The gap had also reached eight in rounds 9 and 10, a margin repeated after Wednesday 29. At that stage, Flamengo already had a game in hand.

Flamengo’s round 4 trip to Mirassol was postponed as the club focused on the Recopa Sudamericana decider against Lanús. The table now shows Flamengo second on 39 points with 11 wins from 20 matches, while Palmeiras lead on 47 with 14 wins from 21.
