Palmeiras resumed training on Monday ahead of a seventh consecutive Campeonato Paulista final. According to Globo.com, Emiliano Martínez has entered transition work after a calf injury and could at least make the squad for Wednesday’s first leg against Novorizontino at Arena Crefisa Barueri, 20:00 Brasília time.
Paulinho continued rehabilitation following surgery on his right leg, while the starters underwent recovery exercises. The rest of the squad took part in a small-sided technical session, including second half entrants such as Arias.
There will be one more session on Tuesday before final details are set for the opening leg.
With no new absences, Abel Ferreira could stick with the team that beat São Paulo. That would mean Carlos Miguel in goal, Khellven, Gustavo Gómez, Murilo and Piquerez in defence, Marlon Freitas, Andreas Pereira, Allan and Mauricio in midfield, plus Flaco López and Vitor Roque up front.
