Palmeiras stepped up their mid-season work on Tuesday with double training at the Academia de Futebol, blending technical, tactical and physical drills. According to Nosso Palestra, attacking midfielder Felipe Anderson also celebrated reaching 100 appearances for the club.

The morning focused on passing and marking under touch limits, plus duels in the final third. Players were pushed to sharpen tempo and precision.

In the afternoon, the staff ran a three-team exercise built around offensive construction, transition and decision-making, stressing speed and clarity on the ball.

Anderson hit the 100-game mark in last month’s match against Junior Barranquilla-COL at Nubank Parque. He joins Gustavo Gómez on more than 300 games, Piquerez on more than 200, with Murilo, Mauricio and Flaco López all beyond 100.

He called the milestone a huge honour and spoke of resilience, stressing his desire to keep making history, fight daily in training and give his best for the shirt.

Anderson underlined the importance of this preparation period to return at full tilt, aiming to build on the goals and form he found in the first part of the year.

Palmeiras will train in two periods again on Wednesday 1, with a training match against Mauaense in the afternoon. Leaders of the Campeonato Brasileiro, they are due back on 23 July at 21h30 away to Coritiba at Estádio Couto Pereira in round 19.
