Palmeiras continued their preparations on Monday morning at the Academia de Futebol as they sharpen up during the mid-season break for the Brasileiro’s return. According to Nosso Palestra, Abel Ferreira’s squad held another session focused on the league’s resumption.
The workout began with physical warm-ups, including short sprints.
Players then moved into technical drills on possession, passing and marking, while the goalkeepers completed position-specific exercises.
To finish, staff arranged a technical-tactical exercise on the pitch with two teams of 11 and three goals spaced across the grass.
Striker Vitor Roque, recovering from surgery on his left ankle, followed an individual programme with the health and performance unit and did not join the group.
Afterwards, the squad lunched at the centre of excellence at the Academia de Futebol. The mid-season schedule will continue on Tuesday, 30 June, with work in two sessions.
Palmeiras lead the Brasileiro on 41 points, seven clear of the side in second. They return on 23 July at 21:30 against Coritiba at Estádio Couto Pereira in the 19th round.
The club also remain in the main knockout competitions, through to the last 16 of the Libertadores and the Copa do Brasil, where they face Cerro Porteño and Fortaleza respectively.
