Palmeiras have agreed a payment plan with Wolverhampton to sign Jhon Arias, totalling 25 million euros to be paid in instalments over four years.
According to Globo.com, the fee equates to R$ 154 million at current rates, and Arias has signed initial paperwork and completed medical tests in Europe.
The Colombian attacker is set to agree a four-season contract running to the end of 2029 and is expected to arrive in Brazil next week.
Only minor formalities remain before an announcement, which would make him the club’s second signing of the season after Marlon Freitas.
Palmeiras are also seeking a centre-back and a holding midfielder. Nino is the preferred defensive option, but Zenit are not inclined to release him now.
A move for Danilo had been prepared, but Botafogo informed the club in writing that he is not available at this time.
The registration deadline for new players in this window is three March.
