Inter Milan center-forward Ange-Yoan Bonny returned to his old stomping ground as the Nerazzurri squeezed past Parma at Stadio Ennio Tardini.

Speaking to Inter TV via FCInterNews, the Frenchman unveiled his emotions after gracing the familiar pitch.

Cristian Chivu won on his return to the Tardini, as Inter extended their winning Serie A streak to six matches.

Federico Dimarco and Marcus Thuram scored on either side of halftime to inspire the Nerazzurri to a comfortable 2-0 win.

However, Inter had to sweat until the final moments before Thuram’s goal put the game beyond Parma’s reach.

Meanwhile, Bonny returned to action after overcoming a minor knee injury.

Indeed, the 22-year-old, who swapped Parma for Inter in the summer, regained fitness earlier this week.

Therefore, he started on the bench tonight and replaced captain Lautaro Martinez in the 85th minute.

Despite failing to make an impact, Bonny’s recovery comes as a boost for Inter ahead of Sunday’s clash against Napoli.

“It wasn’t an easy match,” Bonny said. “It’s never easy to win here.

“It was a tough game, but what mattered was winning and we got the three points.

“The disallowed goal? It’s a shame, but the victory is more important. For me, Parma – both the club and the city – is a special place.

“I fell in love with it when I came here, and I can only thank this city. I was very happy to play here again.”

Fresh off another league victory, Inter will seek revenge when they take on Napoli on Sunday.

Indeed, the Nerazzurri slumped to a controversial 3-1 win in October’s reverse fixture.

Asked about the upcoming showdown at San Siro, Bonny replied: “A hugely important match, like all of them, against a top side.
