TSG Hoffenheim have completed the signing of Patrick Wimmer from VfL Wolfsburg on a long-term contract, the club said in a statement.
The 25-year-old is set to represent Austria at the World Cup in the coming weeks and arrives for the 2026-27 campaign under head coach Christian Ilzer.

His profile offers versatility in attack and he has already shown his qualities in the Bundesliga.
An intense playing style and strong tackling are viewed as a good match for Hoffenheim.
Following Wolfsburg’s relegation he drew interest from teams at home and abroad, yet he has chosen the Kraichgau club, with the move considered one that will strengthen the side and aid his development.
