Patrick, a contentious Santos signing in recent years, has yet to establish himself at Remo. The Belém club would need to pay R$ 2 million for him to face Santos at Vila Belmiro on Thursday 2, the ninth round of the Brasileirão. He has eight appearances since a 16 January arrival.
He has featured in six league matches, including the recent rout of Bahia. He started once in the Copa Verde and played one game in the Paraense.
Patrick is not in the Peixe’s plans and his contract runs until December. He was loaned to Athletico-PR last year.
Santos announced him in mid-April in the special window, a loan from Atlético-MG with an option to buy. Marcelo Teixeira, the club president, later outlined a loan to year end and a US$ 1 million option payable from 2025 in 12 instalments, adding the staff viewed him as important depth.
For Santos he totalled 11 outings, 10 of them in Série B in 2024 with one assist. In 2025 he featured against Velo Clube in the Paulistão.
Output, fitness concerns and cost drew criticism from supporters. Football coordinator Alexandre Gallo said the move was conceived with promotion in mind.
Teixeira said he asked head coach Fábio Carille about the midfielder’s limited minutes and was told it was a technical and tactical choice. Carille said Patrick would appear when results were positive. After Mirassol, Patrick denied being out of shape.
