According to Nice-Matin, Paul Pogba is in line to start for AS Monaco at Metz on Saturday, with kick-off at 19:00. The World Cup winner has had only brief cameos since joining last summer.
His arrival drew major attention, yet he has not recaptured top form. He has made five appearances off the bench, totalling 57 minutes, amid spells in the treatment room.
The 33-year-old is expected to be named in Sébastien Pocognoli’s XI for matchday 32, likely starting in his usual holding role.
It remains to be seen whether he will be paired with Denis Zakaria or Lamine Camara, or both if the coach opts for a system change in Lorraine.
For Pogba, a starter’s berth after repeated setbacks and a doping suspension would be a significant moment.
He has not started a match for more than three years, his last coming for Juventus against Cremonese.
