Palmeiras returned to work on Thursday morning at the Academia de Futebol, only hours after a 4-0 win at Vitória at Barradão. They have begun preparing for Fortaleza in the Copa do Brasil last-16 first leg at Nubank Parque on Sunday at 16:00.
According to Nosso Palestra, the squad stayed overnight at the training centre. Starters completed recovery in the club’s recovery and neuroscience hub, while the rest worked in small-sided six-a-side drills.
Paulinho, absent against Vitória with a sprained left ankle, trained throughout the session without restriction.
Forward Allan reflected on his return after suspension against Coritiba and Atlético-MG. He admitted he had been anxious during two weeks out, was pleased with his display and said every league game matters, calling the 4-0 away win a big step.
He added that Abel Ferreira’s switch to three centre-backs suits him, as he enjoys operating on the right as a wing-back, and he aims to give his best to help Palmeiras.
In 2026 Allan has played 35 times for the Verdão, scoring six goals. Since his senior debut he has 89 appearances and nine goals.
Looking ahead to Fortaleza, Allan stressed the need to work hard and focus on recovery amid a busy run, noting the club’s structure supports that. He said the team now seek another positive result.
