Vangelis Pavlidis has been named in Greece's latest squad, announced on Monday. According to Glorioso 1904, Benfica's leading scorer will be away on international duty.

He retains his place under head coach Ivan Jovanović. The striker has 53 caps and 10 goals for the senior side. Former Benfica goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos is also included.

Greece have two friendlies ahead, Paraguay on 27 March and Hungary on 31 March. The national team did not qualify for the next World Cup.

Pavlidis is close to the longest goal drought of his Benfica career, currently six matches without scoring. He now turns to Vitória SC as the chance to avoid his worst run at the Luz.

This season he has played 46 times for Benfica, 26 in Liga Portugal Betclic, 14 in the Champions League, three in the Taça de Portugal, two in the Taça da Liga and one in the Supertaça. Across 3,788 minutes he has 28 goals and five assists. The forward is valued at 35 million euros.
