Pedri & Raphinha: Double Barcelona injury update before Athletic Club | OneFootball

Updates on the status of Barcelona stars Raphinha and Pedri for the club’s next outing have on Tuesday come to the fore online.

This comes amid confirmation that the former is the more likely of the pair to play his part against Athletic Club.

Winger Raphinha has been sidelined since back in September, with a hamstring injury which has proved to be significantly more troublesome than first hoped.

Recent days, though, have seen the former Leeds United man take major strides back towards the pitch. So much so that, according to Mundo Deportivo, the coaching staff at the Ciutat Esportiva now see it as a real possibility that he will be ready for Barca’s post-international break return.

The outlook regarding fellow Blaugrana standout Pedri, however, is less positive.

Hansi Flick hinted in the aftermath of his side’s victory over Celta Vigo on Sunday that midfielder Pedri could return from his own muscular problem far sooner than expected, against Athletic Club on November 22nd.

Any such comeback, however, is considered to be a considerable long shot.
