Pedrinho was one of Corinthians' greatest prospects in recent generations from the youth academy. When he moved up to the professional team, he shared locker rooms and training sessions with several veterans. In an interview with Central do Timão, he recalled the best players with whom he shared experiences.

“I’ll mention the ones I thought were really different, there are several, but I can’t remember them all very well. Renato Augusto. We were in the wrong position and he would send the ball there, we were off, didn’t understand him. Renato Augusto, Fagner… Very good. Really, really good. I also played with Willian, during Willian’s time. Then there’s Roger Guedes. There are many players, but I can’t remember all of them. Giuliano too,” said the forward.

The young forward had a great day at Corinthians when he was praised by goalkeeper Cássio, a Timão idol, during a press conference. Standing out in the youth academy, he started to get more attention after the comments from the now Cruzeiro player.

“He left that press conference you were at, we had just finished training, we were in the locker room taking a shower. And I didn’t know yet, right, he came into the locker room: ‘Hey, thank me later, I talked about you in the press conference.’ But I, like, I didn’t know what he had said. Then I saw the post, it started coming out, and I thought, wow… Cássio, the idol,” he recalled the moment.

Despite standing out, Pedrinho left Corinthians early and was sold to Zenit, in Russia. According to the player, he wanted to play more for Timão, since he only played 22 matches and scored one goal. He also did not rule out returning to the club in the future.
