Pedro to be available for Flamengo’s Recopa trip to Lanús after tests show no injury

Pedro did not feature in Flamengo’s match against Botafogo on Sunday 15 due to muscle pain, but he will be available to coach Filipe Luís for Thursday 19’s Recopa Sudamericana meeting with Lanús.

He felt discomfort in his groin during the warm-up for the Botafogo game. According to Coluna Do Fla, scans on Monday 16 showed no injury.

The striker reported improvement at Ninho do Urubu on Monday and should travel with the squad to Argentina on Tuesday 17.

Flamengo’s final training session before facing Lanús is scheduled for Wednesday 18 in Argentina, giving Filipe Luís two further sessions to finalise his line-up.

Kick-off is at 21:30 Brasília time on Thursday 19 in Argentina, with ESPN on pay TV and Disney+ carrying the broadcast.
