Pep Guardiola has confirmed he will leave Manchester City at the end of the season.
His side missed out on the Premier League title following the 1-1 draw at Bournemouth.
But the Spaniard’s overall success since arriving in Manchester has secured his status as one of the all-time greats.
Below we look at some of the highlights of Guardiola’s career at Man City, where he won an incredible 20 trophies in 10 seasons.
Many were skeptical whether the Spaniard’s possession-based style of play could succeed in the Premier League.
But he silenced all his critics when his City team cruised to the Premier League title in 2017-18.
They became the first and only English team to post 100 points along their way to lifting the league title.
The Citizens also plundered 106 goals in the process, achieving the best ever goal difference (+79) in the modern era.
Man City maintained their incredible high standards the following season, as they completed a domestic treble.
Liverpool gave them a fierce competition, but they ultimately pipped Jurgen Klopp’s side to the league title by just one point.
Guardiola’s team also added the FA Cup, Carabao Cup and the Community Shield, becoming the first team to ever hold all four of England’s major trophies at the same time.
Despite City’s domestic dominance under Guardiola, the Champions League trophy eluded them for many years.
That all changed in 2023, when they realised their dream of conquering Europe by beating Inter Milan at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in the final.
While the final was a scrappy affair, their 4-0 semi-final victory against Real Madrid at the Etihad Stadium was arguably the pinnacle of his entire reign in charge.
Sir Alex Ferguson twice won three Premier League titles in a row.
But Guardiola surpassed the Scottish great in 2024 by leading his City team to four consecutive league crowns.
Arsenal competed well, but City beat their rivals to the title after winning their final nine games of the season.
