Sunderland came from behind to beat Crystal Palace at the Stadium of Light on Saturday afternoon.
Yeremy Pino put the visitors ahead, Enzo Le Fee levelled from Nordi Mukiele’s assist, and Brian Brobbey secured the win. According to Sunderland Echo, player ratings were issued.
Goalkeeper Robin Roefs made a couple of brilliant early saves from Mateta, one when the striker looked certain to score. He might feel he could have done more on the corner for Pino’s opener. He was rated seven.
Nordi Mukiele was excellent, particularly before the break, when he was Sunderland’s best player in and out of possession. He set up Le Fee’s equaliser and then dug in to defend late on. He received eight.
Dan Ballard endured as tough a first half against Mateta as he has had all season. He got to grips with the challenge and dominated after the interval, stepping out well. He was rated seven.
Omar Alderete made important second-half challenges and generally used the ball with composure. Sunderland looked a little vulnerable in the first half but were solid in the second. He received six.
