Pierre Sage reveals dream of managing Liverpool | OneFootball

Pierre Sage isn’t going anywhere this summer. There had been questions raised over his future at RC Lens. It was his own comments in the wake of Lens’ triumph in the Coupe de France that further raised those doubts when he spoke of contacts with other clubs and “trying to honour [his] contract”. 

However, amid reported interest from many clubs around Europe, including Crystal Palace, Sage shut down those rumours, stating that he would be the manager of Lens next season, as they prepare for a campaign in the UEFA Champions League.

However, he does have the ambition of joining one of Europe’s biggest clubs. Asked on Téléfoot which team he dreamed of managing, he revealed that his dream job would be with Liverpool.

It comes amid questions about Arne Slot’s future at Liverpool. Sage also has designs on one day returning to Olympique Lyonnais. He led the club to the Coupe de France final and into the Europa League two seasons ago, before being replaced by Paulo Fonseca midway through the following season.
