Gonzalo Plata struck Flamengo’s first Campeonato Brasileiro goal to put them 1-0 up against São Paulo at Morumbi.
According to Coluna Do Fla, the breakthrough arrived 10 minutes into the second half.

Alex Sandro lifted the ball, Pedro cushioned a chest pass into Plata’s path, and the Ecuadorian slipped his finish past the goalkeeper.
The move capped a spell in which Flamengo had pressed for much of the match.
Plata kept his composure and celebrated the tidy finish.
