Lazio opened 2026 with a 0-2 home defeat to Napoli in Sunday’s early Serie A kick-off, the visitors heading south with three points.
Napoli led early through Leonardo Spinazzola, then Amir Rrahmani headed a second from a dubious free-kick, with Matteo Politano again the provider. Per The Laziali, the ratings reflect a disjointed Lazio display. The second half brought no further goals.
Ivan Provedel, rated five and a half, had little to do beyond retrieving the ball twice. Adam Marusic, given five, was decent before a clash with Pasquale Mazzocchi that saw both sent off. Mario Gila, six and a half, impressed, with Alessio Romagnoli, six, containing Rasmus Hojlund.
Luca Pellegrini, five and a half, struggled one v one with David Neres and Politano, and did not stop the cross for the first. Matteo Guendouzi, six, headed against the bar late on. Danilo Cataldi, five, misplaced the pass before the opener and laboured against Eljif Elmas.
Toma Basic, five and a half, failed to convince either box-to-box or deeper. Matteo Cancellieri, five, set up a chance for Tijjani Noslin then failed to track the opener, leaving Leonardo Spinazzola free. Noslin, four and a half, hesitated in front of goal and was sent off for a second yellow.
Captain Mattia Zaccagni, five, lost out to Giovanni Di Lorenzo. From the bench, Manuel Lazzari, five, poor clearances invited danger, Reda Belahyane, five and a half, added little control, and Gustav Isaksen, five and a half, could not get past Juan Jesus.
