Lazio returned home with a single point in the bag after firing blanks in Pisa. The dull affair only witnessed a handful of dangerous chances at both ends of the pitch, as neither side displayed any sort of urgency or desire to chase the win.

So here are our player ratings for Lazio, who produced an under-par display in their goalless draw against Pisa, especially from an attacking perspective.

Lazio XI (4-3-3)

Ivan Provedel – 7.5

The goalkeeper’s astonishing reaction save on Stefano Moreo should be enough to warrant him Man of the Match honors.

Adam Marusic – 5.5

The experienced full-back had little impact in attack. While he looked comfortable on the right flank, his troubles increased after switching to the left. Lost an air duel to Idrissa Touré, which could have come costly.

Mario Gila – 6.5

The Spaniard seemed untroubled by Mbala Nzola’s attacking threat, and tried to break the stagnant play by picking up his teammates upfront with his sublime passes. His evening was cut short by an injury.

Alessio Romagnoli – 6.5

A commanding display at the back from the Italian defender. Made a time sliding tackle to deny Moreo.

Luca Pellegrini – 6

The former Juventus man tried to get something going with his attacking forays, but the delivery wasn’t always on cue. He apparently picked up a muscle problem that prompted his exit.

Matteo Guendouzi – 6

A hard-working display as ever from the Frenchman, but Maurizio Sarri is certainly expecting much more than this.

Danilo Cataldi – 6

The Regista sat deep and pulled the strings in midfield, but the team’s overall rhythm wasn’t as fast as required.

Toma Basic – 6.5

The Croatian kept pushing forward to support the attacks, but he was unfortunate to see his fabulous long-range effort bounce off the inside of the post.

Gustav Isaksen – 5.5

The Dane only managed to cause havoc in the final third on limited occasions, and wasted a rare, glorious opportunity at the hour mark, as he couldn’t beat Ander Semper from close range.

Boulaye Dia – 5

Another forgettable showing from the Senegalese, who seems to be genuinely struggling with an ankle issue. While he was only feeding on scraps, the striker couldn’t make the most of the rare opportunities that came his way.

Mattia Zaccagni – 6

The Lazio captain brilliantly set up a golden opportunity for Isaksen that the latter squandered. He was certainly the team’s most dangerous player in attack, but it wasn’t a vintage performance by any means.

Substitutes

Pedro – 5

The veteran looked completely out of sorts in his False 9 experiment. Never posed a threat to the opposition, and was uncharacteristically wasteful in possession.

Matias Vecino – 5.5

The Uruguayan added some energy to the midfield, but he was arguably a downgrade on Basic.

Manuel Lazzari – 5.5

The Italian full-back struggled to come away with the ball from his own area.

Oliver Provstgaard – 6

The Dane replaced the injured Gila, and held his own, despite a few nervy moments.

Tijjani Noslin – N/A
