Lazio were seconds away from ending their year with a valuable win, but they were impeded by a late equalizer from Udinese.

The Biancocelesti had taken the lead through a deflected shot from Matias Vecino, but Keinan Davis emerged as the last-second hero for the Friulians, setting the Bluenergy Stadium ablaze. So, here are our player ratings for Lazio, who will have some ground to make up in 2026 after settling for a draw in Udine.

Lazio XI (4-3-3)

Ivan Provedel – 6

The Italian goalkeeper made solid saves on Davis and Nicolo Zaniolo’s free-kick. However, he had a sea of bodies ahead of him on the equalizer, which delayed his reaction.

Adam Marusic – 5.5

The Montenegrin was given a few scares by Jurgen Ekkelenkamp and had a few too many misunderstandings with Belahyane.

Mario Gila – 4.5

The Spaniard wasn’t even on a yellow when Maurizio Sarri decided to haul him in the 88th minute. Some might say the decision returned to haunt the manager, and yet, one can see the reasoning behind it, as the 25-year-old had been constantly giving the ball away in dangerous areas while being too complacent in possession.

These blunders are unforgivable at this stage.

Alessio Romagnoli – 6.5

The ever-so-reliable defender managed to minimise Zaniolo’s threat while keeping it tidy at the back.

Luca Pellegrini – 6

A mixed bag from the left-back, who botched a few clearances, but generally held his own against Alessandro Zanoli.

Matias Vecino – 6

It was an almost listless display from the Uruguayan before scoring a lucky goal, as he wasn’t offering much contribution on either phase of the game.

Danilo Cataldi – 6.5

The Italian Regista picked up Noslin with a couple of sublime through balls. He also offered important contributions at the back, but couldn’t block Davis’ equalizer.

Reda Belahyane – 5.5

On his return to the starting lineup, the young Moroccan seemed to be operating on a different wavelength from his teammates. Cheaply lost the ball on countless occasions, but did well to retrieve possession at times.

Matteo Cancellieri – 6.5

The Italian winger caused major problems for Oumar Solet. He had the opportunity to score early in the second half, but ended up providing the assist for Vecino.

Tijjani Noslin – 6

The Dutchman started his match on a promising note. Threatened Daniele Padelli with a long-range effort that went just wide, but could have done better when Cataldi put him through on a goal in the dying embers of the first half. He generally combined well with his teammates, but faded as the minutes rolled on.

Mattia Zaccagni – 5

The Lazio captain endured one of his quietest outings, as he uncharacteristically failed to make an impact.

Substitutes

Taty Castellanos – 6

The Argentine was surprisingly dropped from the starting lineup amid growing exit links. Added some energy to the final third upon his introduction, but will it be enough to regain his place?

Gustav Isaksen – 5

The Dane wasted a golden opportunity to kill off the match with a second goal just a few minutes before the equalizer.

Oliver Provstgaard – N/A

Manuel Lazzari – N/A
