Ponte Preta announce loan signing of Kevyson from Santos | OneFootball

Ponte Preta have signed left-back Kevyson, 21, on loan from Santos until the end of the season. Diario Do Peixe reports that the move was announced on Friday.

Promoted to Santos' first team in 2022, he made 18 senior appearances in 2023. Last season he had fewer minutes and moved to Sport on loan.

For the Pernambuco club he played 12 times, 10 in the Campeonato Brasileiro and two in the Campeonato Paulista, without a goal or an assist.

He returned to Santos after recovering from a left ACL injury and a meniscus issue. The internal view was that he needed a longer run of games, so he was loaned again. He is under contract until the end of 2027.

In last year's Paulistão he featured in the 3-1 win over São Paulo at Vila Belmiro on 1 February, then played against Noroeste and was on the bench in other state fixtures.

He did not feature in the Copa do Brasil, remaining a substitute in both ties with CRB. In the Brasileiro he appeared only away to Grêmio, and was named in squads in other rounds.

Kevyson is the eighth Santos player to leave on loan this season. He joins a Ponte Preta side bottom of the Paulistão with one point.

Ponte Preta face Guarani in the Derby Campineiro at Brinco de Ouro da Princesa on Saturday at 16:00 Brasília time, in round six of the competition.
