Head coach, Vincenzo Italiano spoke after today’s defeat: “In terms of the results, you could talk about a crisis. The performance was better than in Milan, but it wasn’t enough. We have to keep our heads down and keep working, rediscover our enthusiasm. It can’t all have vanished into nothing. In the league we need to react, because we need important wins. We shouldn’t have conceded the second goal, because we started the second half well. From that moment on, we were no longer able to find the decisive play. Overall, though, we concede goals too easily.”

Lewis Ferguson also spoke after the match: “It’s a difficult moment. We need personality off the pitch as well, and it takes real leadership to lift ourselves back up. We have to keep working every day the way we know how, and everyone needs to give something extra. It’s only a difficult spell – it happens in football, and we know that things can change quickly. The schedule is not an excuse: we deserve and want to play every three days, we’re professionals. We’re back in action on Saturday. We have to go to Como with our heads held high and step out there to fight for points.”
