After back-to-back defeats against Barcelona and AC Milan, Real Madrid will aim to return to winning ways on Saturday when they host Osasuna at the Santiago Bernabeu. The reigning La Liga champions are aiming to cut the deficit at the top of the table to six points, after it was stretched to nine last weekend because their trip to Valencia was postponed.
Times are tough at Real Madrid, and Carlo Ancelotti is attempting to put things right. To do this, he intends to get rid of the 4-4-2 for the time being, with Diario AS predicting that the 4-3-3 will make its comeback against Osasuna.
In terms of changes, there will be two: Eduardo Camavinga would replace the injured Aurelien Tchouameni, while Luke Modric would drop to the bench to allow Rodrygo Goes to reclaim his starting spot.
Osasuna are also expected to make two changes from the victory over Real Valladolid last Saturday, with Abel Bretones and Ruben Garcia coming into the side in place of Juan Cruz and Ruben Pena.
This won’t be straightforward for Real Madrid, as Osasuna have had an excellent start to the season. Vicente Moreno’s side, who were in Copa del Rey action during the week, will be keen to make the Bernabeu crowd nervous, and that could make its way on to the pitch too.
