Premier League interest arrives for former PSV keeper Benítez | OneFootball

According to The Athletic, Crystal Palace are interested in signing former PSV goalkeeper Walter Benítez. The 32-year-old Benítez is in talks with Palace about a transfer to the Premier League as his contract in Eindhoven expires.

The FA Cup winners are reportedly in talks with the Argentine and hope to sign the goalkeeper on a free transfer. Previously, Benítez saw a transfer to Atlético Madrid fall through as PSV didn’t accept the amount Simeone’s side offered last summer. Now he seemingly gets his desired move to a top five league.

PSV already have a replacement for Benítez after signing Nick Olij. Bayern Munich’s Daniël Peretz is also expected to come to the Philips Stadion as Joël Drommel is also likely to leave. Benítez played 134 matches for PSV, in which he kept a clean sheet 43 times.
