Tottenham v Newcastle: Get with the goals

Tottenham v NewcastleTuesday 10 February, 19:30

Neither Tottenham nor Newcastle are trustworthy right now. The two teams arrive at Tuesday night's tussle in poor form; Spurs sit just six points above the drop-zone, winning only twice in 16 Premier League fixtures, whilst the faltering Magpies have managed two triumphs across their past 15 away days in the league.

Tottenham have tabled four victories in their past 26 on home soil and have managed a measly six clean sheets in 50 fixtures here. With Cristian Romero joining Kevin Danso, Pedro Porro, Destiny Udogie and Ben Davies on the sidelines, it's difficult to see that dreadful defensive record improving in midweek though our focus should be on goals.

Over 2.5 Goals is available at an eye-catching 1.81 and holds plenty of appeal having won in 11 of the last 12 meetings between the two sides in the Premier League. It's banked in four of Spurs' most recent five, plus 64% of their overall EPL outings. Both sides have also scored in eight of Tottenham's 12 home league encounters this term.

Newcastle have produced Over 2.5 Goals profit in 16 of their last 23 matches, including six of nine away days in the Premier League. Chuck in the added pressure surrounding the two sides' under-fire managers and I'd expect both teams to take a proactive approach in what should be an entertaining encounter in the capital.

West Ham v Manchester United: Entertainment expected

West Ham v Manchester UnitedTuesday 10 February, 20:15Live on TNT Sports

Manchester United are fun to follow again. The Red Devils have scored at least twice in all four of Michael Carrick's interim matches with the Red Devils looking dangerous in forward areas. Bruno Fernandes is more comfortable and effective in the advanced role and Bryan Mbeumo has excelled as the central striker.

Meanwhile, West Ham have also found their mojo of late, racking up three victories in four. Paco Jemez's influence has been notable with the Hammers providing much more final-third punch; Taty Castellanos, Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville are all excelling - the Irons have now notched twice or more themselves in five of seven.

All the ingredients are therefore in-place for a goal-filled game at the London Stadium. Over 2.5/3.0 Goals can be supported at 1.75 and produces profit should at least three goals be scored. West Ham have seen 3+ strikes in eight of their last 10, plus nine of their 12 home dates - Man Utd have followed suit in 10 of their 12 away days.

Sunderland v Liverpool: Black Cats undervalued

Sunderland v LiverpoolWednesday 11 February, 20:15Live on TNT Sports

Liverpool were understandably shell-shocked by their defeat to Manchester City on Super Sunday. The Reds endured a mix of emotions during a frantic finale that ended with Dominic Szoboszlai's sending off and subsequent suspension, adding to Arne Slot's right-back woes. Conor Bradley and Jeremie Frimpong remain unavailable.

A reshuffle will be required ahead of the tricky trip to the Stadium of Light on Wednesday night and the Merseysiders look much too short to support considering the circumstances. Liverpool have posted just W2-D3-L5 in their last 10 away EPL games and have conceded 21 goals on their travels this term - more than rock-bottom Wolves.

Yet the market makes the Reds firm odds-on favourites here, a position I'm happy to oppose. Sunderland +0.5 is available at 2.30 - a price that implies just a 44% chance of success despite the Black Cats' boasting the EPL's only unbeaten home record this season. Arsenal, Man City, and Aston Villa have all tried and failed to win here.

Sunderland competed well in the reverse - limiting Liverpool to a solitary Big Chance - and look underrated by the market here with the Reds failing to succeed in eight of 12 away days, shipping multiple goals in eight of those contests.
