Premier League names six candidates for Manager of the Season: Carrick’s Old Trafford revival sparks shock nomination | OneFootball

The Premier League has shortlisted six managers for the 2025/26 Barclays Manager of the Season award.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is among the nominees, with the Spaniard seeking a sixth career win of this award.

Mikel Arteta is also included, having led Arsenal to the top of the Premier League table, and a first Champions League final in two decades.

Also nominated isMichael Carrick, following his role in Manchester United's upturn. Carrick was appointed as interim manager of the Red Devils in January and no side has won more Premier League points since he walked in the door at Old Trafford. His influence has helped lead the side to Champions League qualification.

Brentford's Keith Andrews, Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola, and Sunderland head coach Regis Le Bris complete the shortlist.

Fans have until 12:00 BST on Monday 18th May tocast their vote. Alongside fan votes, a panel of football experts will hope determine the winner.
