Mohamed Salah played a key role in Liverpool’s away victory over Sunderland (0-1) on Wednesday night in Matchday 26 of the Premier League.
The Egyptian King delivered the decisive corner in the 61st minute, finding Virgil Van Dijk’s head for the game’s only goal, keeping the Reds firmly in the hunt for a Champions League spot. Liverpool now sit just three points behind fourth-placed Manchester United.
That assist marks Salah’s 93rd in the Premier League. He has now overtaken Reds legend Steven Gerrard (92) and drawn level with David Silva (93), moving into joint seventh place on the all-time list.
Even more impressively, the Baysoun native now sits third in the all-time Premier League standings for total goal involvements, with 238 contributions.
Here’s the Top 5:
1- Alan Shearer (England): 324 G/A
2- Wayne Rooney (England): 311 G/A
3- Mohamed Salah (Egypt): 283 G/A
4- Frank Lampard (England): 279 G/A
